Area of application:
The measuring transducer records and processes the measurement signals from the corresponding mag-flux-series magnetic-inductive sensor. It is suitable for measuring all electrically conductive liquids, slurries, pastes and pulps with a minimum conductivity of 20 µS/cm at average flow speeds of up to 10 m/s.
The mag-flux M1 measuring transducer is used in the following industries:
- Plant and mechanical engineering
- Fire safety
- Chemistry
- Building services equipment
- Food
- Metal extraction, production and processing
- Paper and cellulose
- Oil and gas
- Shipping
- Water and wastewater
- Cement and minerals
Advantages of the mag-flux M1 magnetic-inductive measuring transducer:
- Reliability (long-term stability, service life)
- Minimal maintenance requirements
- Simple commissioning
- High measurement accuracy
- Flexible installation position (however the measuring tube must be completely full at all times)
- Manufacturer’s application expertise
- Short lead times
Special properties of the mag-flux M1 measuring transducer:
- Rapid signal processing with 16-bit microcontroller
- Simple menu-guided operation with two-line alphanumeric display
- Self-monitoring function
- Analogue output and digital outputs for pulses, device status, limits, flow direction, frequency output
- Internal simulation for all output functions
- Password protection to prevent unauthorised access
- Multilingual user interface
How the mag-flux M1 measuring transducer works:
The flow measurement principle is based on Faraday´s law of electromagnetic induction, in which the sensor converts the flow into an electrical voltage proportional to the flow speed.
The mag-flux M1 absorbs and processes the electrical voltage, and converts it into analogue and digital output values.
A control unit is available as an option. In addition to a local display, it allows customers to configure the measuring transducer based on their requirements. The mag-flux M1 is designed with communication capabilities. With an optional add-on module, it is also suitable for use with the HART® protocol.
